Heph4estus Documentation

Heph4estus is a CLI tool that leverages scalability and automation in cloud infrastructure for red team tooling.

Origin

I was listening to a Darknet Diaries episode (Mini-Stories Vol. 3) on my way to lunch with a friend. During the episode, a pentesting guest talked using EC2 instances with Tesla GPUs to crack hashes with Hashcat. My brain immediately went: "Wait... I can build a program that automates that using Terraform and Bash" which led me down to try and create a tool that uses Go, Terraform, and Bash to create cloud infrastructure that extracts the maximum potential from redteam tools.

The name Heph4estus is a reference to Hephaestus, the Greek god of Blacksmithing. Since this tool "forges" the infrastructure for engineers, I thought it would be a fitting name.
